Summary

It took quite a while to finish off the last of the Orcs, Derro, Dire Wolves, and the Troll. After they finished them off, they decided it was far to unsafe to remain where they were so they left, moving out west and down the hallway. They heard the sound of something screech and go silent. Other than that, they'd heard little to no sound coming from anywhere in the mine. It sounded like the digging had stopped.

They ran into a few Goblins along the way. They seemed to feel as though they had escaped their captors. As they continued west through the tunnels, they ran across traps. There were poison tipped caltrops planted here and there in the dirt. Oglesby searched and found many of the caltrops but still missed a few here and there. One Goblin died stepping on one of them. As they passed a tunnel that broke off to the north, they found more Goblins. To the west, there was more light. They knew the pyramid and portal were in a room in that direction. They could hear the mutterings of a chant coming from there.

Brandy and Oglesby quietly moved down the passage way and found a priest of the Elemental Eye performing some kind of ritual. Oglesby moved to an alcove to the North and stayed in the shadows. Brandy introduced herself by firing a shot into the back of the priest. She fired again as he priest turned around. He shouted something about them being too late. “He is coming!”. Everyone else moved up and they killed him in short order. They didn’t know if the next creature that showed up was the “He” that the priest had spoken of but out of the wall to the south of the room was a giant of a stone creature.

They fought this creature for quite a bit and killed him. He’d almost killed Audra and Kipp. They recovered and drank a few healing potions so they could hopefully survive long enough to get out of there. The portal which would take them back to Elredd and that world was dark. There was no energy coming from it. It was simply black as if turned off. They decided to leave the mines the traditional way. The Goblins knew the way out and guided them. They carefully made their way to the mine entrance. They stepped out to an empty pit and no one around anywhere at all.

They walked the path around the inside of the pit until they made it out. They decided to head south and find the river first. After a short time, they found it. They decided to set up camp they’re and spend the night. Eleanor had a better idea. She made something they had never seen before. She cast a “Tiny Hut” spell creating a shelter capable of holding 8 people in a weather controlled environment. There were nine of them so that took turns with one of them on watch outside all night. Brandy took a shift, then Audra, and then Kipp.

The next morning, the Ko, Beau, and Matilda left, following the river East back to town. The rest of the group rested for a few more days, recovering and healing. They finally decided that they’d have to make it back to the portal in the water in order to make it back to the world of Elredd and where their employer, Dame Gold was likely sold off into slavery. They were last heard discussing how they would make it back to the portal in the cove.
