Wiki of The Dungeoneering Crew

They started this session with a bang, or at least a big blooming fireball. With that fireball, Eleanor took out most of the guards that had moved up to engage them. The Big Orcs moved up to take their place. Kipp engaged the Big Orcs and Bazil, the very tough looking dwarf that had moved up to attack him. Kipp was quickly surrounded. Seeing how tough a fight with Bazil would be, Audra moved up to help Kipp with him. Both Kipp and Audra got some good hits in but so did Bazil. He finally dropped Audra, knocking her unconscious. Meanwhile, the other big orcs made it through to engage Borthenien who died. Pyreece had gotten her armor back on and charged around to fight killing one of the Big Orcs. Brandy, with her oil of speed, started making short work of anyone that foolishly came after her. Then she helped take out Bazil.

While the rest fought those remaining orcs on the ground, Brandy started targeting the orc crossbowmen on the roof of the main building. She was a regular killing machine. The rest of the group finished off the remaining ground forces. With those down and the crossbowmen down, it was time to enter the stronghold. Eleanor and Pyreece got Audra back up. They did some healing and moved to the door of the stronghold. It was still open. Brandy moved in followed by the rest. They took out Wally and The Beaver. They opened all of the doors going down the hallway one at a time. The rooms of the east side were small with bunk beds and little tables to sit at. The rooms on the west side of the hallway were much larger rooms with beds, writing desks, sitting areas, and a brazier. On the north end of that hallway was a door that led into a sort of meeting room with a fireplace and some wood to burn in it.

They continued north and opened a door to a much larger area that looked like it was for storage. Oglesby snuck in and checked it out. There were staircases on the Eastern and Western sides of the room. The Eastern staircase seemed to go up and down. They didn't get a good look at the Western staircase. There were people in the Eastern and Western guard areas where there were arrow slits facing outside the stronghold. These men were manning those positions. Oglesby snuck back out and told the rest of the group what was there. They decided to let Brandy take the first round of shots with surprise while the rest would charge in right after that to take on each group.

Brandy took the first shots with Kipp moving into the Western side to fight those two directly. Meanwhile Pyreece and Audra moved into the Eastern room and fought the two there only to find a third one. A third man also appeared in the Western side. Brandy and Kipp made short work of those three. Elenor and Oglesby monitored the staircases and the other door that entered into this area. Pyreece and Audra were engaged but not progressing as quickly as Kipp and Brandy had. Brandy and Kipp moved to the Eastern room and helped to finish off those three. Wanting to make use of Brandy's Oil of Speed, they continued to the doors going south out of the storage area. That door opened into a room with a couple of large tables with benches and a table at the head of the room with some nice chairs. There were no people in here. There were two doors in the South wall.

Oglesby listened at the door and heard some crying. He opened the door and everyone moved in as they heard children screaming and something big that grunted and snorted. As they came into the room they found a scared woman on the Eastern side of the room and a Wereboar holding two kids in the Southwest corner. They attacked it, doing everything possible to avoid hitting the children. The Wereboar threw the children at Oglesby and Audra who had approached it first. Fortunately, the kids were unharmed by that action. Once they were out of the way, Oglesby, Audra, and Kipp took the creature on directly while Pyreece and Brandy used their ranged weapons to hit it. The Wereboar went down quickly. It turned back into a woman named Berthita. The other woman, Agnes, was being held here with the kids.

They had to stop here.
