Summary

We started this session with a spider fight. It didn't take long. Symon did get a chance to try out his new weapon, then Symon guided Eryn’s bow. He missed the only chance he had to use it. After killing the spider, the company made their way behind it to a collapsed area, and upon finding a small hole, Cal-El peered in and found Fredrick sitting in the dark. He started moving away rubble and got Angelique's attention and she moved up to the hole to look in. She introduced herself and Fredrick introduced himself. He had been chased to this part of the cave by several giant spiders and used a magic missile to collapse the ceiling and prevented them from getting to him. She worked more stone loose and got him out.

Fredrick was very hungry. He had run out of Create Food and Water spells and was pretty bored with that food anyway. Angelique offered him bread and figs which he took and ate. She told him that they had met Fred and Freddie. He told us they were probably going crazy. Then he told us that they weren't really his brothers, but actually, him, or rather, parts of his personality split out of his own. They were the product of an accident. Symon was thrilled to meet another gnome, introduced himself, and pelted him with questions for a while. First, they learned of more spiders which sent Xor and Cal-El into alert status as they watched for incoming spiders. Then Symon started asking about Fredrick's ability to help Eryn with her curse of blindness. He didn't have any ability to help her here and he didn't think he had anything back at the shop that would help.

In discussing this, they told him about the rotting creature and the hidden creature they had found. One of them caused this. That's when the conversation turned to Xantha and the girls. Fredrick repeated several times that Xantha and the girls had never done anything to hurt anyone or to bring attention to themselves. They leave him alone and he leaves them alone. He knew about the underground temple and he knew they lived behind the temple but hadn't been there since they moved in there. He described Xantha as a Necromancer and the girls, Zora as deliberate and serious about her craft and Zara as fun-loving, happy-go-lucky. She is younger and friendlier. Xantha or Zora are not seen much, but Zara is out and about, meeting people and exploring.

Symon told him of the zombie attack but Fredrick suggested that if Zara had anything to do with that, it was probably meant to be funny. She practiced her magic too. They told Fredrick about the creature in her lab, the journal they'd found, and how in the journal, Xantha mentions staying away from the Grims, especially if Fredrick returns. With him back, they would be dangerous. They talked about the Grimbog Vale and her many trips there, about the creature that she had brought back and keeps down there. They brought up how they found the place, chasing after Roger and his crew, assuming he had gone in there but they never found them. As they talked, they'd wondered aloud if Zara might not be standing there now, listening to them. They asked how Fredrick got there and if there was a way out. He said he knew the way out. He had gathered the spiderwebs he needed and Symon suggested they head out. As they started to leave, a spider came out from the eastern passage, behind them, and attacked Cal-El. The party turned and fought it, defeating it.

They continued on their way out and as they passed the concealed door, Symon pointed it out to Fredrick. He hadn't seen that before. They discussed possibly going back in and showing him the creature but were worried Xantha might have returned via the transportation circle. Symon, on a whim, asked Zara, out loud, if Xantha had returned. He received no answer. Eryn thought of another couple that might be there, invisibly. She called out to Morgan and Marlina to see if they might know. Again, there was no reply. After a moment, they heard a light laughter and someone say, “I know!”. They asked that voice if Xantha was home, but there was no response. Fredrick didn't recognize the voice. Symon postulated that it might be a familiar or an imp. Fredrick thought that sounded very likely and that they should be very careful. One, if it feels like she or her property is being threatened, they would be in serious trouble. Two, it's likely that Xantha already knows they have been there. Symon asked the creature if it would be okay if they went back in to show him the creature in the cage. The voice said, “I wouldn't do that if I were you!”.

They decide to leave and headed west and then north to a man-made section. Cal-El and Xor showed interest in the section to the west. It opened to another big cavern with a couple of exits. There were still a lot of spiderwebs in that chamber. Fredrick asked if they'd looked around any. They told him they had run into him pretty quickly after entering here so they hadn't had a chance to look around yet. He told them that spiders like to hunt for food, not items. They discussed possibly exploring the cavern but Symon pointed out that they were out of magic and running with a blind member. It was probably not a good idea to snoop around yet, they'd come back later and check it out. They continued up the man-made passage and got to another chamber with three exits. They climbed some stairs and came out into the woods.

They went west until they found the road and then south to get to town. They made their to the shop and were greeted by the other two gnomes. They went inside and Fredrick thanked them by giving Symon a wand of magic missiles, Angelique a new magical footman's mace, a scroll of Enchanted Weapon, and 4 potions of extra healing. They spent the night! The next morning they got into the issue of Eryn's blindness. Fredrick could think of nothing there to help her. She asked about possible people around the area but he could think of no one. She asked what he would do if he had been made blind this way and he suggested a scroll, if they could find one, or going to one of the big cities to find someone who could take care of it. After a little more thought, Angelique thought of Tinkle and the magical phrase, “I've got to Tinkle!”. She said it out loud and Tinkle's head popped up in the room. He asked what they needed. They told him about Eryn's plight! He told her to be more careful, waved his hand, and pouf, the blindness went away. They thanked him as he popped out.

This really got Fredrick's attention. He became very excited. He proceeded to ask us if we knew who Tinkle was. Then he proceeded to tell us how every gnome knows who Tinkle is. He is very looked up to. They told him how they had met him only a few days ago. He seemed surprised to find out he was nearby. Then the discussion turned to dragons. Symon asked Fredrick if he had ever seen any to which he replied, “Yes, well, dragon spawn!”. Symon posed a question about dragon spawn capability, “Can they make themselves appear like regular people?”. Fredrick told him that if they were old enough, yes. Emperor dragons would definitely be able to. Symon invited him to return to the cavern with them but he declined saying that he doesn't adventure anymore. Cal-El returned Eryn's sword of quickness to her and the party set out for the cavern again.

They exited straight north to avoid dealing with Roger and his crew and as they left the town, they came upon a farm, well tended and in good condition. They followed the wall of the city west and north and west again until they found the road. They headed north up the road until they found the point where they'd come out of the woods the day before. They turned east and moved through the woods until they found the stairs leading down. They climbed down the stairs entering the chamber below. Eryn moved to look into the hole in the southwest corner of the room and was attacked by a giant spider. She swung at it first, thanks to the sword's quick reaction. She missed and was then bitten and poisoned. She seized up and became stiff. The rest of the party made short work of the spider. Xor had looked beyond the spider and saw something blue in the torchlight. He burned his way forward until he could see what it was. It was a humanoid creature that had a black and blue t to it. The creatures were long dead.

That's where we stopped!

Detail

We started this session in a fight with a giant spider. Initiatives were rolled. The spider closed on Cal-El and attacked. Cal-El used the sword of quickness to get the first attack. That attack missed its target. The spider hit him and fortunately, the poison from the bite had no effect. Xor moved in to hit it and missed as well. Symon moved behind the blind Eryn, led her to a place from which to attack, and told her to pull up her bow and prepare to fire. He did his best to aim her and she fired but missed! Angelique moved up beside Eryn and fired at the spider as well and missed. Xor hit on his second attack and Angelique hit on her second attack and dropped it.

Looking behind the spider, they saw more spider webs but still didn't see the source of the singing. There was a crumbled area from where the cave experienced a cave-in and there was a little hole in the top of it. Cal-El climbed the rubble to get a look inside the hole. While he was up there, Symon collected some of the webs to use as spell components. Cal-El looked in the hole and it was dark. Using his infravision, Cal-El was able to see the familiar figure of a gnome, just like the brothers Fred and Freddie. Cal-El started clearing some rocks away from the hole. The gnome heard the noise and spoke up, “Oh, who's there!”. Cal-El waved. Then he chucked a little rock back towards the others to get their attention. Angelique moved to take Cal-El's place while he climbed back down.

Angelique said, “Hello!”. The voice from within replied, “Oh, hello! Who's there?”. Angelique said, “Hello, I am Francesca! Who might you be!”. The voice answered, “I'm Fredrick!”. Angelique said, “Oh Fredrick, you must be the one that's missing.”. Fredrick answered, “Well, yeah, I guess it has been a while now.”. Angelique said, “Yeah, we've met your brothers.” He replied, “Oh, that's good! They aren't acting too crazy are they?”. She answered, “Not too bad, but they did say you've been missing for a little bit. Wanted to know if we could help find you.”. Fredrick said, “Well, I kind of got into trouble here. You wouldn't have anything to eat, would you?”. Angelique answered, “Yes, I have something to eat.”, as she offered him some bread and figs. He said, “That's great. My spells kind of ran out. Create food and water, it gets kind of old after a while.”. He said that he didn't know how long he had been here since it was dark all the time. She said, “It had been well over a week, they told me”. He responded, “I bet they're both going crazy right now.”.

Angelique said, “I guess you had a little bit of a collapse on you?”. Fredrick replied, “Well, the spiders chased me, and I came in here, and I was able to magic missile the ceiling and seal it behind me, but they won't leave me alone.”. Angelique told him that they'd killed one of them. Fredrick said, “Oh, there's more than one! You've got to be careful. Everyone of them seems to have given up, but this last one has been tormenting me all week.”. Angelique told him that they had killed it, as she started to dig out the rocks so he could come out. He finally was able to squeeze through the hole and climbed down and sat down to rest. He said, “It's good to get out of there, I was getting tired.”

Symon was excited to see another gnome and said, “Fredrick I presume, I am Symon Sayezz!”. Fredrick replied, “Nice to meet you, Symon!”. Symon said, “We've been to your store in Stonebridge. It's an amazing place!”. Fredrick said, “I hope my brothers weren't going too crazy! They kind of have a tendency to go a-little nuts unless I am there to keep the peace and keep everything steady. Really, there not my brothers. They're actually me!”. He explained that they were the product of an accident. They were parts of his personality split out of his own. If he isn't around for a while, they get a little uncentered! Symon said, “I would describe them as rambunctious!”. Angelique said, “They were throwing concoctions together and …yeah…it was not”. Symon cut in and said, “They were trying to create chickens out of rocks.!” Fredrick said, “That's the reason I'm here. I needed this spiderweb, which I knew was here, because they didn't have a strong enough binder. It was really a good idea. One of them is really creative but he's not practical. I kept telling him he needed this spiderweb as the regular spiderwebs weren't strong enough.”.

Fredrick was happy to be found. Symon let him know that he is a Transmuter, not on his level though, but always looking to learn. Symon asked if Fredrick had anything that could remove a curse. He proceeded to tell him about Eryn's blindness. They explained that there was a vile creature in the area behind the temple through the concealed door back down the hallway. Eryn said, “I think it was the creature but there was another person there and they may have done it.”. Fredrick thought for a moment and said, “I don't have anything for that!”, and he looked at Angelique and said, “You're not capable of doing that I assume?”. Angelique told him not yet. Fredrick said, “I wish I did. I don't know if I have a potion in the shop for that.”, he continued, “I'm concerned about that. I know about the temple! I know about who's been there. They've not caused any trouble.”. Angelique asked, “Who's been there?”. Fredrick replied, “Xantha and her two daughters!”. Angelique asked, “What does Xantha do?”. He hemmed and hawed a bit before he replied, “She won't admit it but I'm pretty sure she's a necromancer. But Zara, she's pretty cute, I like her! She's very outgoing. I wouldn't classify her as begin evil, more as a free spirit.”. The party indicated they had met her.

Symon said, “It's interesting you mentioned she was a necromancer because just before we came here, we were attacked by six zombies, and not your normal zombies, they were like extra powerful zombies. Right in front of your store. Fred and Freddie actually helped us.”. Fredrick said, “Oh, that's good!”. He continued, “Zora is very practical and matter-of-fact. She's very dedicated to what she does. Zara is more happy-go-lucky. If one of them did that, I wouldn't be surprised but I wouldn't necessarily ascribe anything malicious to it, especially with Zara.”. Symon responded, “It felt pretty malicious when they were trying to kill us.”. Fredrick laughed and said, “Well, I guess so if you look at it that way. But it might have been a thing that was meant to be funny, if it was Zara that did it. And of course, she likes to practice too. They've not caused any trouble here. They actually keep a low profile. They're really not interested in anything else that goes on around here.”.

Symon asked, “Have you ever been in Zantha's home?”. “Not since they came here.”, Fredrick responded, “I had been in there previously!”. Symon asked, “What do you know about the Grimbog Vale?”. Fredrick replied, “Grimbog Vale? Oh, well, that's way way way north of here. I know its history is dark and it's a place shunned by most northerners.”. Symon interrupted, “Not by Xantha! Xantha is quite fond of the place. She's brought back some treasures from there.”. Fredrick responded, “Oh, well, obviously she must not have been home if you were able to look around there.”. Symon said, “No no. We were actually looking for some thugs and rogues and followed them into that temple. We didn't know where we were. In looking for them, we discovered that this was where Xantha and the girls resided. In discovering that, we discovered some pretty fel things going on. ”. Fredrick responded, “Magic users will do magic! I enchant things that I have no business fooling with, visa-v what happened to me and my brothers. But, she's not done anything that's endangered anybody in the town.”.

Symon said, “She's quite worried about you apparently!”. “Oh really”, Fredrick seemed genuinely surprised and asked, “How do you know that!”. Symon told him that we discovered this creature and there was a journal nearby and it said to stop tormenting the Grimms, for if Fredrick comes back, they'll be dangerous.“. Fredrick asked, “What have they been doing to my brothers.”. Symon said, “I don't know! but apparently, they are creating super zombies of a sort. I would just ask you to keep a close eye on them and don't take them as lightly as perhaps you have. They seem to be up to something. Not necessarily Zara, who's probably standing here listening to us right now.”. Symon asked if Fredrick could see through invisibility? “If she were standing here right now, could you see her?”. Fredrick answered, “Probably not if she doesn't want to be seen. That doesn't seem like Zara's style. She is the only one that you ever see. She really could be quite endearing sometimes. I wouldn't hold her magic against her any more than I would hold your being a transmuter against you. It's what you do with it, you know?”. Symon answered, “Exactly!”. Fredrick continued, “They have not done anything to put anyone in town in danger that I know of. She's here for whatever purpose she's working on and I respect that and she doesn't bother me and I don't bother her. If she became a danger to a lot of people here, myself, or my brothers, then I would do something about it possibly. But Zara likes to go around town and talk to people so you see her all of the time. So, if my brothers are acting cooky, then she might find that hilarious, a lot of people actually do.”. Symon said, “They are pretty amusing.”. Fredrick continued, “They're not as bad when I'm around.”.

Eryn asked how he got there and how do we get out? He told her the entrance is north of town. We can leave. I suggest we not hang around here or the other spiders might show up. She'd asked if he got all the spiderwebs that he needed. He had gotten plenty. Symon said, “Okay, then let's be on our way!”. He said, “We need to go back south!”. Angelique said, “Lead the way and we'll follow!”. As he came upon the dead spider, he said, “Oh I'm not sad to see that!”. Cal-El gave him a bow when he came by him. Xor told Fredrick that Cal-El cannot speak. Symon got Eryn and brought her along. As they began making their way south, they heard something coming from the eastern passage. Charging out of the darkness was another spider.

Symon moved around the southern side of the column blocking his site of the spider, pulling Eryn along with him as she got out her bow and notched an arrow. The spider charged Angelique and snapped at her but missed. Xor attacked and hit it doing quite a bit of damage. Cal-El pulled out his bow and took a shot hitting it. Angelique attacked it and missed. Xor hit him again on his second attack and took it down. They all got quiet and listened for anything else approaching. They didn't hear anything so Angelique suggested that they get out of here. Fredrick led on and the rest followed.

As they came up to it, Symon pointed out the concealed door they came into the cavern from. Fredrick said, “Oh that's interesting! I didn't know that was there! You say it leads to the temple?”. Symon replied, “Yes!”. From this side, the door was well concealed. Eryn asked if he wanted to see the creature Xantha has in her basement. He replied, “I'm kind of curious about it.”. Then Symon and Angelique raised the question, I wonder if she's come back. She could have popped in on her teleportation circle and could be inside. Symon asked out loud, “Zara, is she home?”. He received no response. Eryn guessed that maybe the two assassins, Morgan and Marlina, might know. She asked out loud if they knew if she was home. Again no response. That's when they heard a light laughter and a small voice say, “I know!”.

Eryn asked the voice if they would tell us if she was home, but got no response. Fredrick looked around and said, “That was weird!”. Eryn asked if he recognized the voice and he said, “No!”. It wasn't Zara's voice. Symon wondered if it might be an imp or a familiar. Fredrick looked back at him and said, That's probably a good guess!”. He suggested that we move away from there. Symon pointed out that the creature, being a familiar, probably meant that Xantha knows that we've been here. Fredrick said, “They can be very nasty, if they feel threatened or if they feel like you are threatening their master! Although, those kinds usually think they are the master. It's very complicated!”. Eryn asked if that could be the creature that put the curse on her. Fredrick doubted it but then asked if she had done anything. Eryn said, “I irritated it because I attacked her creature!”. Fredrick asked, “You didn't take anything, did you?”. They told him that they specifically did not take anything. He told them that things may have worked out differently if they had. Symon asked, “Would it be okay if we went back in and showed our friend the creature in the cage?”. The voice responded with, “I wouldn't do that if I were you!”. They all agreed to listen to it.

They walked away from it, headed northwest. After a short distance, they came to a finished area, a man-made tunnel leading north and out. To the west, just before they entered the tunnel, was a large area. Cal-El tapped Fredrick on the shoulder and pointed to the area and gave the universal “I don't know!” shrug. Fredrick knew what he was asking and answered, I've never gone that direction so I'm not really sure where that goes. Symon thought it was a little less webby. Fredrick said that the complex is a rather large cavern. He asked, “Have you all found anything in here?”. Angelique responded, “We found you!”. Symon added, “No, As luck would have it, when we came in, we went straight in your direction and never had a chance to explore any of this.”.

Xor moved up and got a better look into the room. There was more web in there and a passage north and south from the room. Fredrick said, “The reason I asked if you've explored the cavern is that spiders don't have use for items. They don't care about that.”. Angelique asked, “So you think there is stuff laying around possibly?”. Fredrick said, “I don't know but you would be taking a chance. There are more in here than just those two!”. Symon said, “So, I'm out of spells!”. and looking to Angelique, he said, “and you're out of spells!”, Eryn cut in with, “and I'm out of sight!”. Symon nodded and continued, “and she can't see and I'm leading her around to try to shoot her bow. If it's more of the spiders we fought, we might be alright but if we run into anything more significant, we might be in trouble.”. Angelique suggested that we return to Fredrick's place and rest up there where we'd be safe.“. Fredrick said, “You'd be welcome!”. They agreed to do that and continued out. They'd discussed coming back after they'd rested and Symon suggested that maybe Fredrick would like to come with them. Fredrick said, “I don't do adventuring anymore. I'm not really all here anymore.”. Angelique asked, “Like you've got some split personalities going on there?”. Fredrick said, “Well the good thing is that's how I run my shop. I buy and sell. It helps me in my research.”. “It would be up this way!”, he said as he turned and started making his way out again.

Fredrick led them out of the tunnel into another room with a set of crumbly old stairs to the northwest going up and a hole in the wall to the southwest. There was also a tunnel leading off to the east in the northeast corner of the room. He said it was a dead end. Symon asked what this place is/was. Fredrick said he wasn't sure. It looked like the basement of a prominent building, obviously very old, and it's collapsed in and the walls have fallen over time. They went to the stairs and up to the surface. They turned to the west and made their way some distance through some very thick wood and brush and eventually came to an overgrown road. It's, obviously used very little. They turned south and made their way toward town. They came to a tower and wall, marking the northern boundary of the town. Symon asked Fredrick if there is a temple in town., Fredrick said there was one but it's not used now. Symon rephrased and asked, “Is there a priest in town?”. Fredrick said, “No!”. Symon asked again, “None at all?”. Fredrick said, “No, this place is not what it used to be!”.

They continued making their way through town to the shop. As they did, they noticed there were no people out. As they arrived at the shop, Fred and Freddie burst out of the doors and were very excited and relieved to see their brother. Fredrick finally calmed them down and they seemed to chill out some as he talked to them. They thanked the Company for finding him. Fredrick said, “Yeah, they rescued me! Come on inside!”. They all made their way into the shop. It was a tight fit for this many people. Symon asked again if they had anything that might return sight to Eryn. He offered them something to drink and then started to look around. He said, “Let me see, I don't think I do though! That's kind of unusual around here, but I think you are due a reward, right?”. He said, “Symon, I think I have something you would like a lot. Hold on a minute!”, as he duked down behind the counter and after a moment, popped up with a little case, kind of plain but the top was a little decorated. He said, “This is my thank you for finding me and rescuing me.”. Symon opened the case to find a cool-looking wand. Fredrick said, “That my friend is a wand of magic missiles. It has 6 charges and can be recharged.”. Symon asked, “How can it be recharged?” Fredrick said, “You have to cast the spell, Enchant an Item first, and then cast the magic missile into the item.”. (After a little research, we found that Enchant an Item is a 6th level spell)

Fredrick followed up with, “And you dear,”, referring to Angelique, “The fig you gave me was really good. I have something special I can give you, if you would like!”. Angelique answered, “Yes!”. He asked what weapon she was carrying on her belt. She answered, “A footman's mace.”. He said, just a minute, as he went digging behind the counter. He finally popped up with a very nice mace and laid it on the counter. He said, this one is magical, (+1 to hit and +1 to damage). She was excited and thanked him. He handed her a scroll of Enchanted Weapon(4th level wizard spell), which will make a weapon magical for attack and damage, for a set length of time. He said, “And I give you 4 potions of extra healing absolutely free.”. “Now, it's time to celebrate.”, Fredrick said as he pulled out the gnome ale.

He said, Fred, I have something for you! He pulled out the spider silk and passed it on to him. Fred took off to the table and started working on something. Fredrick said, “He'll be busy with that all night!”. Angelique healed Xor some and then fully healed Eryn. After some chit-chat, everyone finally turned in for the night. The night passed uneventfully. They had breakfast and prepared for the day. Eryn took some time to pray to Nah for help with her blindness. They started discussing what they were going to do next. Angelique suggested going back down into the cavern and investigating it.

Eryn asked Fredrick, “I know you said there were no priests here. Do you know of one in the outlying area that might be able to help with the blindness. He replied, “Not anymore, not in a long time! This place is a kind of no-mans land now.”. She asked, “If you had to cure your own blindness, where would you go?”. He said, “You could maybe find a scroll but you might have to go to one of the big city's to find someone able to remove that curse.”. A small balding gnomish looking man appeared from out of nowhere. He said, “There is an obvious way to fix this, you just don't remember it.”. He then disappeared as quickly as he came. After thinking about the problem for a bit, Angelique remembered something that Tinkle told them. You can summon him by saying, “I've got to tinkle!”. Angelique said that and sure enough, a little hole opened in the air nearby and Tinkle's head popped in. He said, “What do you all need?”. Angelique told him that Eryn was blinded by a curse. She asked if he would help her. Tinkle looked over at Eryn and said, “She should learn to be more careful!”. Then he said, “Here!”, and his little hand popped out, a flash and a pouf later, she could see again. Tinkle said, “Be safe!”. Everyone yelled, “Thank you!”. Tinkle said, “Kind of busy!”, and pouf’d out.

Fredrick said, “I know him!”. Synmon asked, “Do ya?”. Fredrick said, “Yeah, that's Tinkle!”. Eryn told him that we'd met him a few days ago. Fredrick asked, “Do you know who Tinkle is?”. Symon said, “We probably don't know him in regards to the lore of your people!”. Fredrick asked, “You met him near here?”. Eryn said, “Yes!”, and Symon followed with, “Near Frosthaven!”. Fredrick asked, “Did he tell you about himself?”. Eryn said, He's a businessman and has a storage facility someplace!”. Fredrick said, “That's his secondary occupation. He didn't tell you his primary occupation?”. They told him, they didn't think so. Fredrick told them he wasn't sure he should say, since Tinkle hadn't already told them. Symon said, “He was a little aloof, maybe he didn't want us to know? But you saw what he just did. He clearly trusts us!”. Fredrick asked, “How many people do you think could do something like that!”. Symon responded, “Very few!”. Fredrick said, “I probably shouldn't say, since he didn't tell you himself, but, let me put it to you like this! He's more than he seems! All of us gnomes know who Tinkle is! He is old and he is very knowledgeable.

Symon asked Fredrick, “Have you ever seen a dragon?”. Fredrick answered, “Yes, I have, well, dragon spawn. They are quite impressive and quite scary.”. Symon asked, “Can they conceal themselves through magic to look like regular people.”. He said, “They could if they are old enough. The dragon spawn I saw weren't that old.“. He said, “Now if you are talking about the emperor dragons that disappeared, they could. I don't know what they'd look like. The dragon spawn would be nowhere near what they are.”. Symon asked if everyone wanted to go back to the cavern and check it out. Angelique said, “I think we should, we might find some stuff that could help us. I don't know!”. Eryn said, “Sounds good to me!”, looking to Cal-El, she said, “I'll need my sword back please!”. Cal-El handed the sword back over to her. Eryn offered the magical dagger to him but Cal-El felt his other weapon dealt much more damage. The group prepared and headed out to the spider cavern.

They headed north and straight for the exit on the northeast end of town. They exited town and realizing the road was to their west, they followed the town‘s wall west. There was a farm that seemed to be well tended and in pretty good condition outside that end of town. They headed west until they got to the tower and then the road heading north. They continued north on the road until they came to the spot where they came out of the woods. Cal-El and Xor headed in that direction and the rest followed. They led the rest straight to the entrance. Cal-El went down the stairs first and the rest followed. Eryn moved south to the hole in the western wall of the initial chamber. A spider leaped out at her.

She swung at the spider and missed. She was hit taking 10 points of damage and became parylized. Cal-El moved in and attacked it, missing with both attacks. Xor moved down, knocking Eryn out of harms way while attacking the spider. He hit it on the first attack. Symon used his slingshot and missed. Angelique stepped into the room and fired at it, hitting it with a natural 20. Xor hit it again with his second attack and finished it off. Xor noticed something in the shadows, in the webs, hanging around the walls of the southwest chamber. He saw something that was obviously something the spiders had captured or eaten or something. But what was odd was that it was blue. Xor moved toward it, using his torch to burn away the webbing. What he found was some sort of humaniod creature that had a black/blue tent to their skin. They were long dead.

We stopped there and divvied up xp's from the previous week and this week. total xp's 386 before 10% bonus.
