Haldar starts off this session by Surrendering! Not really! Haldar jumped down and applied some healing to Misty after her fall from the landing when she collapsed! He moved back up to where he was. Kyana casts Burning Hands and takes out a bunch of the small blight creatures. Misty gets back up and moves up the stairs and stops at the top. Dain whacks the Needle Blight in front of him and kills it. In his anger, he holds up his shield and runs forward into the wall, catching a druid between his shield and the wall. It did a little damage. Snoggly casts Magic Missile at the Druid in the opposite hallway from Dain. Rinn follows up with a bow shot on him as well. And then he moves between that Druid and Kyana in order to prevent her from being hit. The Druid moved out of the hallway and cast Thunderwave and caught 5 of us in it. Most of us fared well and only took minor damage. Zanfyr the Direwolf attempted to bite the Druid and killed him.

The Druid in front of Dain cast a Thunderwave hitting him and pushing him back ten feet. A needle blight came around the corner and moved out to attack but Dain was able to block him. On the other side, the big blight creature came around the corner and moved out onto the balcony to attach Zanfyr. He hit him and grabbed him up. Haldar shot at the Druid in front of Dain but the Barkskin deflected the arrow. Kyana fired at the vine blight and missed it. Misty drank a potion. Dain moved up and attacked the needle blight in front of him and took it out. Dain then moves forward and attempted to slam into the Druid again but she side steps him. He moved back to blocking the hallway. Snoggly cast magic missile against the vine blight holding Zanfyr and killed it. Zanfyr is freed up again. Rinn moved to a location where he could shoot the Druid in front of Dain but missed. Zanfyr set himself to defend the other hallway in case something else came around the corner.

The Druid in front of Dain cast Thunderwave again and pushed Dain back ten feet and caused minor damage. The Druid then ran down the hallway. Haldar gave chase and lost him around the corner. There are a bunch of doors he could have run into. No one saw where he went. Kyana cast healing on Misty and then moved to give chase as well. Misty moved to the other hallway and glanced down the staircase in the tower as she passed it, seeing nobody. Dain charged around the corner, passing Kyana and as he came to the first door, he slung it open. Apparently, everyone in the room was holding their action and let fly with those actions at Dain. There is the Druid Dain had been fighting but there was a second Druid that is different looking. A black cloak on and a black staff with tendrils linking it to his hand and arm. The veins in his arm were black and like a spider web spreading out as it stretched up his arm. There was a needle blight and a vine blight as well.

The druid he had been fighting cast Thunderwave again Dain took minor damage while the needle blight took similar damage. The Needle Blight attacked Dain and hit him for some minor damage. Dain closed the door and braced against it while casting Lay on Hands on himself. Snoggly moves up behind Misty and waited to see what was to happen next. Rinn moved up behind Kyana and Dain and took a position with his bow to fire into the door should it open. Zanfyr moved around the other side behind Misty. Haldar stealthed further down the hallway looking, at the other doors. Making sure we didn’t get caught between that door and group coming out from one of the other doors. He picked a door and listened but didn’t hear anything.

Kyana moved up and added some healing to Dain. Misty moved further down the side she is pursuing and rounded the corner. If it weren’t for the light from the other end of the hallway, she wouldn’t have seen Haldar and even then, she couldn’t tell who or what she was seeing, only a backlit shadow. She listened at the door in front of her but kept an eye out down the hallway. The door was cracked and she took a moment to peek into the room and spotted a chest through the crack of the door. She moved toward the next door but still watched the shadow that was a little further down the hallway.

As others looked on, Dain recounted what he saw in the room as he continued to brace the door and keep it closed until everyone was ready. He told them that the Druid they chased back here, was in there and one of those Needle throwing blights and a bigger vine whipping blight but most interesting is the second Druid, wearing a black cloak and carrying a shiny, almost liquid looking black staff. He said he couldn’t see anyone but the four creatures and a giant hole in the floor that lead out, with some daylight coming through it from outside, and a winch leaning out over it.

Snoggly came up and as he passed Misty, she told him to wait and follow her, she had a plan. Rinn, upon hearing about the room and what was in it, tried to line up where he was in relation to where they had come into this building. He realizes that the room likely, is directly over the wagon in the side area next to the door then entered in through. With that realization, Rinn took off through the rooms they came through, making his way out the front door.

Three things catch his eye as Rinn exits! Yes, the room with the wagon appears to be where the enemy, behind Dain’s door, is. The Druid with the black cloak and staff is standing in the wagon. Their eyes met as Rinn started around the corner. Hearing the Druid, murmuring something unintelligible, Rinn backed up quickly just out of sight, against the wall, around the corner, by the door he had come out of. The second thing he noticed was a bunch of the blight creatures, hundreds of the blight creatures, making their way toward the building. The third thing he saw were Ravens, hundreds of Ravens, divebombing the blight creatures in what appeared to be a frenzied attack. It was then that Zanfyr, who saw Rinn running out of the building and gave chase, appeared at the door ready to assist. As he came out of the door, he witnessed all of the same things that Rinn saw.

Haldar moved down the hallway a little and after seeing Misty shift her stance as if readying to attack, he says softly, “it’s me!”. He is positioned to fire, in either direction, if needed. Kyana moved to where she would have line of sight and a potential to strike from the hallway when the door opened. Misty ran, jumped down, and headed toward the front door. The dark Druid came down from the wagon and out of that room. He backed up a little and cast some sort of spell that sent a beam of light down on Zanfyr and Rinn.

Dain heard Rinn’s shout to “Go!”. With that, Dain opened the door and was face to face with the viney creature. Both the viney creature and the needle blight attacked but missed. Kyana stepped up to cast burning hands, between Dain and the door frame. That was dangerous as Dain was swinging his axe at the first creature in front of him. She hit but was unable to do much damage. Haldar fired on the viney creature and made it cry but it’s still standing. Dain struck and put took the creature down. He then charged into the room toward the other Druid. The Needle blight took a shot at the passing dwarf but missed.

Snoggly followed Misty as she made her way to the front door. Rinn felt the burn of the beam, that the dark Druid had cast against he and Zanfyr. He moved up to face the dark Druid and paused for a moment before attacking. Zanfyr took damage from the beam as well, which caused him to transform back into his normal self. He moved out of the beam and changed into a giant spider. He continued to move up to the dark Druid and attacked. He hit the Druid and lightly poisoned him. Rinn followed through on his attack but missed. He moved around behind the dark Druid.

Haldar moved into the room on the second floor behind Dain. He jumped down into the wagon and seeing the dark Druid, fired down from the wagon at him. He hit him for some decent damage. Kyana fired at the Druid in the upstairs room and hit her. Misty made it out of the door. She wanteds to build a Molotov Cocktail but she was not close enough to reach anything with it so she waited. Dain was attacked, by the Druid in the room, with another Thunderwave for only minor damage. The dark Druid cast a Thunderwave as well. Rinn failed his save and took a little damage and was pushed back about 10 feet. The door next to him was blown off its hinges. Zanfyr, the giant spider, made his save and took only a little damage.

Dain took a shot at the Druid upstairs but missed. Snoggly made it out of the front door and took a shot of whisky. Zanfyr bit at the dark Druid again and hit him, between the damage and the poison, the dark Druid collapsed. Zanfyr then moved up the interior wall to the upper room. Rinn moved up onto the wagon and shot at the Druid. He hit it and then ducked back down to try and avoid being a target. Haldar noticed the hundreds of blight creatures were getting closer. Haldar moved to an angle where he could see the blight creature through the opening above. He fired at it and put it down.

Kyana took another shot at the Druid upstairs and missed. Misty sees the staff, withdrawing itself from the druid and bleeding on the ground. She moved to pick up the staff hoping to somehow stop the blight creatures. In her head, she heard hundreds of voices speaking in a language she didn’t know. The tendrils came out of the staff and started burrowing into her skin. She couldn’t seem to drop it! Dain took another shot that the Druid upstairs and killed her, dead..dead..dead!

Misty called for help. Snoggly cut the tendrils and the staff dropped to the ground again. The tendrils were reaching around, from the staff, and oozing blood as it laid on the ground. Snoggly poured some whisky on the staff and then firebolted it. The fire didn’t seem to hurt it. Zanfyr prepared for the pending battle with the blights that were still marching toward us. Rinn moved to the edge of the wagon and threw a firebolt at the blights that were coming. Haldar attacked the staff with his sword and it screamed very loudly, enough to hurt us. Several took light damage but Rinn collapsed in the back of the wagon. The staff dissolved into the ground. Kyana jumped down into the wagon and cast spare the dying on Rinn to keep him from perishing. Misty noticed that the blights had all stopped and crumbled back into the stick and twigs they were made from. Dain hopped down into the wagon and cast a cure on Rinn returning him to consciousness.

We noticed that the Ravens seemed to be celebrating and rejoicing over the victory. Zanfyr dropped down from the wall and returned to his normal form. We checked the rest of the winery and found that there were no enemies left. Rinn ran off to let Davian know the winery was reclaimed from the Druids.

We have liberated the winery.
